First things first- THANK YOU for reading.

Black and blue has been one of my favorite “clashing” color combinations for a few years now. What used to be a major fashion faux pas is, for me, a way to easily pair many of my closet staples. More on breaking that old rule here.

SHOES- This was my first time wearing these Chanel slingbacks. I first saw versions of these beauties on street style stars and bloggers two years ago and have wanted them ever since. I thought I would be “over” them by now, but instead the attraction has grown. Since I am a shoe addict and always working to purchase less new and wear more of what I have, I decided to save for these by selling some shoes and bags I no longer wear. I finally sold enough to buy these (OK… I bought them first but kept them tucked away in my closet until I sold enough to pay for them) and wanted a special occasion to christen them. What better occasion than cruising the streets of Hoboken with my unpaid photographer (my fiancé Dave) to shoot this?

JEANS- I got these jeans during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale (which has now ended… you’re welcome for the tip :/) and have been living in them. I wish they had a little less stretch but they’re so comfortable and the raw-edge hem is very “in.”

BAG- LOVE Cult Gaia. The bags are eye-catching works of art. They have new colors and materials for sale now, link below! I’m currently coveting their “babe” pig bag.

NECKLACE- Again another brand found through Instagram, CINCO is a minimalist jewelry brand based in Portugal.

TOP- I found this brand, Réalisation, through French cool girls and models on Instagram.
