Happy Friday and thanks for visiting!

One of my best style “secrets” is Rent the Runway’s Unlimited membership. Started in 2009 by two Harvard Business grads as an e-commerce site to rent designer formalwear, RTR has exploded into a business with over 6 million members. I first signed up for the Unlimited membership, which comes to $150/month with tax, about a year and a half ago and must say it is one of the best sartorial decisions I’ve ever made. The short of it is that you get to have three items out at a time, return one when you’d like and then take another. Being in New York helps as you can go into the flagship store to drop off your items and pick new ones up all in one visit. And you never have to worry about dry cleaning!

There is also the option to not pay a monthly fee and rent items for either 4 or 8-day periods and cost varies per item. They have everything from gowns and accessories to office attire and maternity clothes. I will always tag items as “RTR”, and I’ve included two discount codes below. One is a unique link for a $30 referral credit, the other is a general discount for the Unlimited membership.

$30 off your first rental

Use code FIRST for 20% off new Unlimited memberships

ROMPER- RTR Diane Von Furstenberg blue gingham printed romper. This ran a bit big so I made it off-the-shoulder. 100% silk, light and comfortable, with pockets! I do find that some styles, when cinched at the waist, slightly accentuate the “middle” and show a little belly, but…YOLO.

BELT- This is a vintage belt from my mom’s friend Sharon which I’ve had for at least 10 years. I love the leather tie and turquoise-colored pieces across the front. It adds a western/80’s feel. It’s a piece I’ve added to dresses and skirts over the years when I feel an outfit isn’t “me” enough to give it an edge.

SHOES- This Alexander Wang style has been around but I just recently became a fan. They add a rock vibe to any outfit and are surprisingly comfortable. By the time I decided to buy them nearly everywhere was sold out- though one of my favorite pastimes is finding something that is no longer available in most stores- and I found them at this awesome boutique on the Upper East Side, FIVESTORY NY. The shoes are no longer available there (back in stock online at Alexander Wang though, link below) but they have amazing things for fall and offer 15% off your first purchase.

BAG- the summer MVP, Cult Gaia.

SUNGLASSES- I bought these last year and while they aren’t my everyday go-to, they definitely add a look that I like on occasion- part John Lennon, part millennial-trying-too-hard-at-Coachella… 🙂

ROMPER via RTR * BELT vintage, similar here and here * SHOES * BAG sold out in black (does come in black acrylic for a higher price tag), still available in natural * SUNGLASSES

Have a great weekend.
