Hope everyone is safe and warm!
In my (never ending and often-failed :)) quest for simplicity and minimalism, I enjoy finding multiple ways to style one piece. Earlier this week I featured my favorite layering trick, and given the weather it only feels right to stick with the theme.
Turtleneck: A Christmas gift this year, I have already worn this (thin but warm) more than items that have been in my closet for years. I love the burnt orange/brick/tan color, and as part of the HEATTECH line it is so perfect for layering on these freezing cold days. Everything in this line is amazing if you live in a colder climate. I also have the HEATTECH tights (not pictured) and can wear them with a skirt on a freezing day and feel like I’m wearing pants. The best part is that these turtlenecks are under $15!
Denim: Featured a few months ago, these 3×1 frayed babies are still a fun alternative to the Levi’s I wear on the regular.
Belt: The subject of memes and parodies, I talked about my love/hate with this belt in an earlier post.
Shoes: For years I have tried and tried again to wear leopard, and finally decided that I simply did not like it on me. That was until I saw these beauts! I immediately thought to give them as a gift, which I did, but also picked up a pair for myself. I have a black pair of Sam Edelman block heels that are comfortable enough to commute/walk around in all day and these measure up!
Bag: I had my eye on this Bazar line from Balenciaga since it came out, and ended up finding this at 60% off from Neiman Marcus, since sold out. I have worn it everyday for weeks now, and love the unique design, neutral colors, and perfect size.
Dress: This is one of those pieces which really can be worn so many ways- as seen with tights and a turtle, with a T-shirt and sandals or espadrilles, as a beach cover up, with a thicker knit underneath or blazer on top, even jeans and boots. At $30 it was a deal. Unfortunately I just spent a good 30 minutes searching for it online to link below- using the article number and everything!- and cannot find it anywhere. Luckily H&M always has inexpensive basics like this!
Shoes: I love everything about these shoes, other than the fact that I should have sized down. The strap doesn’t stay up which is enough to drive me mad. Great for wearing at my desk or for a party (minimal walking), but not for commuting.
And there you have it! Hope you enjoyed this post, as always let me know if you have any questions.
Get cozy and stay indoors!
